Jacquards — An intricate pattern woven on a jacquard loom. This technique produces a raised design on a woven background, creating one of the richest looking fabric pattern designs. |

Knits — Hunter Douglas is recognized as the leader in the design and manufacture of vertical knit fabric. Our skilled craftsmen create imaginative blends of natural and man-made yarns - coupled with the latest in knitting machine technology. |

Wovens — One of the most widely used ways of producing fabrics. Woven fabrics are made on a loom by interlacing two sets of yarns at right angles to each other.

Backed Fabrics — In order to increase the privacy and room-darkening attribute of a free-hang fabric, a variety of backings are used such as foam backing, vinyl backing (which is similar to draperies), or aluminum backing, applied to existing woven or stitch bonded fabrics. The type of backing used is either neutrally colored or coordinates to the fabric. |

String Laminates — This style of fabric is similar in construction to string wallpaper. A variety of novelty yarns are used to create numerous vertical patterns and are available either free-hanging, or as sister products for groover-insertable. |
